High winds on Friday caused the Frank Phillips College baseball and softball doubleheaders to be rescheduled for Sunday, April 17th.
The FPC Plainsmen baseball team will take on Midland College on Sunday starting at 11:00 a.m. while the FPC Lady Plainsmen softball team will begin their doubleheader with Howard College at 1:00 p.m.

Borger- Farrah Rose Brewer, infant daughter of James Brewer and Lindsey Thurman, died Friday, April 15, 2011 in Borger.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Danny Courtney, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Fritch officiating.
Interment is under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Farrah was born on January 17, 2011 in Amarillo.
PAMPA - Clara Hudson Jones, 90 died on April 14, 2011.
Services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall of Highland Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.
Cremation will follow, and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Mrs. Jones was born August 25, 1920 in Paden, Oklahoma. She attended schools and graduated from Canadian High School.

Yesterday was a very busy day for the emergency operators of Borger and the surrounding areas.
Hutchinson County Fire Marshal Danny Richards stated that there were gusts of winds over 70 MPH. He also stated that at 9 a.m. a reported power pole fell on top of a home on the block of Sixth St.
At 10 a.m., a carport was blown into electrical lines on 1200 block of Indiana Street.
At 10:30 a.m. on Fourth and Alabama St., a downed power pole was reported. At 1p.m. a roof was reported to have flown into electrical lines in the 2100 block of Huber Avenue.

Copper wire thefts have been on the rise in Hutchinson County.
According to Captain Aaron R. McWilliams of the Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office, the HCSO has seen a dramatic increase in the theft of copper over the past year.
“These thefts have impacted local citizens, local businesses, farmers, ranchers, and the oil and gas industry,” he said. “Over the past year an estimated $100,000 in lost production, lost equipment, and lost property has been investigated by area law enforcement.”

Volunteers are not only critical to helping organizations runs smoothly. They are also key to helping them keep citizens safe and healthy.
Cindy Nickell at American Red Cross of Borger said she can use volunteers. She continued to say the Hutchinson County area has well over 100 volunteers who respond to fires, help canteen the firefighters, and also train the public in CPR and first aid.
