DUMAS-For their first year participating in high school soccer at the varsity level, it is hard not to be somewhat impressed with fact that the Dumas Demons are flirting with a .500 record and can clinch a playoff spot with a Canyon loss or tie to Pampa on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately that shot at a District 5-4A playoff berth will come at the expense of ending the Borger Bulldogs season on Friday night, as the Demons were able to come away with the 3-1 victory at Demon Stadium.

The Hutchinson County and the Hansford County are seeking any interested individuals that would enjoy becoming a part of the Crime Stoppers board.
There will be a open meeting for any inquiry for that position, and the public is welcome to attend the next board meeting, scheduled for March 24, 2011, at 7 p.m. at City Hall located at 600 N. Main Street, Borger.
A Borger man was charged with DWI after crashing into a local business early Wednesday morning.
According to witness reports, Donney Schultz, 27, of Borger, left the Main Street Bar at 12:05 a.m. and was headed north on Main Street.
He ran the stop sign at the intersection of Seventh and Main Streets and struck a vehicle.
He continued to proceed down Main, and ended up hitting and side-swiping a second vehicle in the process.
After this, Schultz’s vehicle spun out of control, causing him to hit Dake’s Restaurant. He was taken to Golden Plains Community Hospital for treatment.
