A few isolated showers and storms may develop over the High Plains today! Though these storms will be âhit-or-miss,â a few lucky folks could receive anywhere from around .01â to upwards of .10â of rainfall! Itâs unfortunate that we canât get a widespread heavy rainfall all day, but in this kind of drought, weâll take what we can get, even if it is sporadic in coverage! Mostly cloudy conditions will be present, and our afternoon high temperatures will struggle to reach into the upper 50s.
There is currently a seat open on the Borger ISD board of trustees. Applications are being accepted through December 2.

A West Texas School bus caused a small fire around 5:30 p.m on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011. The school bus was between Borger and Panhandle areas when a turbo charger went out, causing the bus to back firing, and filling the air with smoke and causing a small grass fire.
Lt. Stacy Nolen of the Borger Fire Department stated the fire was no bigger than six feet long and two feet wide.
âThe kids were evacuated from the bus and stomped the fire out,â he said. There were no injuries.
PSPCISD superintendent Bill Wiggins said the bus in now in Amarillo to be repaired.
Since Thursday, the Borger Lady Bulldogs and the West Texas High Comanches and Lady Comanches basketball teams have been hitting the hardwood as part of the Amarillo Highland Park Tournament.
Play on Thursday proved to be a little rough for both the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Comanches, with the Lady Bulldogs falling to Amarillo San Jacinto 45-24 and the Lady Comanches losing to Lazbuddie 39-36.
The Comanches got off to a good start in the tournament defeating Channing 55-27.
On Friday night, the Canyon Eagles took advantage of a sluggish start and 32 turnovers by the Borger Bulldogs to leave Tex Hanna Gym with a 64-43 win.
The Bulldogs only connected on 5 of 17 shots in the first half, while the Eagles nailed four three pointers and 11 of 15 free throws to build a 21 point lead by halftime.
The Bulldogs started the game playing solid defense which kept the Eagles off the scoreboard for the first four minutes.
