The West Texas Comanche baseball team will look to even the series with Hawley Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Lubbock at Lubbock Cooper High field. See more details in this weekend's sports section.
Gill Craig, Agrium Plant Manager, released information to the Borger News Herald by phone Thursday evening at appoximately 7:30 pm on the incident today at Agrium. According to Craig, 13 workers were impacted by the ammonia release Thurday at approximately 4:15 pm. Of the 13, two were airlifted to Amarillo that were listed in stable condition. Press Release From The Texas Deparrtment of Public Safety at 5:09 p.m. A toxic gas release occurred at Agrium Plant in Borger. The release has been contained and there is no threat to the community at this time. There have been reports of injuries. First responders are on scene at this time.
Traffic on FM 1551 is being controlled by TxDot at this time. Please avoid this area.

Danny Richards, Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Borger, reports that emergency units are responding to a report of a gas release with injuries at the Agrium plant. There will be emergency responders in the area to assist as needed. The Borger News Herald will post more information as it becomes available.
The Regional Semi-Finals games between West Texas and Hawley will take place at Lubbock Cooper's baseball field Thursday evening starting at 6 p.m.
